TeleKbd64 displays a virtual keyboard that looks like an old Commodore 8 bit computer and lets you control an emulator running on a PC on the same network.
Emulated keyboards:
- Commodore 64
- Commodore VIC 20
- Commodore 16
- Commodore 64 C and G
- Commodore SX-64
Compatible emulators:
- VICE 2.2 x64
- VICE 2.2 xVic
- VICE 2.2 xPlus4
(see notes on other emulators below)
VICE must be configured to use the positional keyboard mapping.
Shift-lock key acts like the right shift key.
Compatible PC
- MS Windows from XP onwards (tested on XP 32 bit, Vista 32 and 64 bit, W7 64 bit)
The Windows PC must run the Windows counterpart utility downloadable from:
http://www.fabioapps.com/telekeypad
NOTICE:
The Windows utility is packed with a commercial protection tool that few ativirus softwares erroneously report as a threat.
IT IS A FALSE POSITIVE!
If Windows Firewall is enabled you may be prompted to authorize the application.
Notes on other Commodore 64 emulators
- Frodo 4.1: most regular key will work but many are mapped differently, special keys wont work
- Hoxs 1.0.6.2: run-stop key wont work, special keys either wont work or wont work as expected
- CCS64 3.8: run-stop key wont work, special keys either wont work or wont work as expected
Notes on other Commodore 16 emulators
- YAPE 1.0: most regular keys will work but many are mapped differently, some special keys will work but most others wont work at all or wont work as expected
